his lover was waiting for him. she’s wondering why he is late, while at the same time having a vague answer.

before he left, he was wrapped in a smell, he began to question his moves, he hesitated over whether this was futile. he notices the fishy odour of the life he is facing. his plight and anger had nowhere to go, and he chose to  vent his anger with a dead fish.

eventually he made it to the street, but his lover was gone.
